Okay, I'm almost done with chapter five. This was the chapter on dying literacies. My goal was to have this chapter done by July 1, so not too bad. I have a colleague who will be reading through this chapter, and if all goes well, it will be off to the advisor next week. Chapter six is on the hula. Hopefully I'll have a lot more to write on this chapter.
In other news, I'll be making one more trip to Hawai'i at the end of July. I'll use this trip to tie up any loose ends about the dissertation. Final interviews, visit to the archives and library, etc. It will also give me a chance to visit the family and the family dogs. My brother also says that we now have peacocks roaming the property, too.
