Chatty-Patty or rather Conversational-Conner

Stopped by my brother and sister-in-law's last week and got to see Conner for a little bit. He was a little chatty one...here's a short clip of him talking. Notice that towards the end of the clip he tries to say his name.

Houston - gone and back

I went to Houston a couple of weeks ago to visit Carolyn & Rosemary. It was hot and muggy...ugh. Good thing they have a pool. I got to go shopping and eating. Mmmm, the perfect vacation.

Fogo de Chao

The first night I got into Houston I went to dinner with friends from San Antonio. This is the second time I've been to Fogo de Chao - a restaurant specializing in meat...lots of it. Servers come by with skewers of filet mignon, NY strip, rib eye, prime rib, lamb, chicken, and the list goes on. Everyone also gets a coaster - red on one side, green on the other. When you want some meat, you turn the coaster over to green. When you want to stop and rest, you turn it over to red. It's such a great restaurant, but really only one I should go to once a year. Here's the group of us at dinner.

Dinner at La Finca

Before Uncle Jimmy and Auntie June left for OK, we had dinner at La Finca, a local Mexican restaurant in Katy. Good food...and lots of it. Here are two shots (below) from dinner.

New friend, new clip

So I had the opportunity to meet someone new this weekend. Tracy was doing some work near my office when I ran into her. Turns out, Tracy works for the NFL and was helping to interview players for NFL ads to be shown during Super Bowl '09. She showed me a sample clip from last year which I absolutely loved. You can see it below. She has an interesting job - it's different than mine, and I just enjoyed talking with her. Thanks, Tracy.

The Blue Angels

This past weekend was Seafair - the annual Seattle festival and of course, the Blue Angels were here. I didn't go see their show this year, but I could see some of their practice as they flew over my office. A guy from the office took this shot of the Blue Angels as they were flying over head.
