(Pre) Welcome to Kylee!

My brother and his fam are expecting a new addition in June and her name is Kylee. The baby shower was held at Mary's sister's home and contrary to the stereotypical menu one imagines at these gatherings, this was an all out buffet! Curious? Well let me tell you: roast turkey, baked ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, quiche, grilled chicken, cake, and a lovely custard pastry. I'm still trying to work off the weight.

Welcome Kylee!

The new wardrobe

Kylee's wardrobe has begun...lucky girl! The family displayed the new clothes in this really cute clothes line display. Adorable, no?

The Aftermath of Easter Dinner

Here's what's left of the cheesecake dessert. So good, and I've been so bad.

Beautiful Saturday, Waiting for Sunday

Today was absolutely stunning! Here's the view from my brother's house. I got to hunt for eggs with adorable kids, play with Conner, and take a walk with Eric and Sherpa. I have high hopes for tomorrow, Easter Sunday.

Conner and the Easter Auntie!

I stopped by my nephew's house to drop off his Easter bag. Here he is posing with his goods. Can you tell he likes posing for  the camera?

Birthday

Today is Eric's birthday! Celebrating at the Original Pancake House and at Starbucks. Happy Birthday, spring chicken!

Sideways pictures

Be patient as I try to figure out how to change the picture orientation. I'm sure there's something on this app that will fix it...

The Egg Hunt

So I got a call at 9am this morning asking if I'd go to an egg hunt. So I peeled myself out of bed and met Elliot, Caroline, and Autumn. It was a beautiful morning and fun to watch kids go and find eggs. Absolutely adorable! And I got some chocolates, too. Not bad.

Time to go home...

The weather was beautiful, but a tad cold. I think these kids are ready to go home.

I'm back...again...

I've been embarrassingly absent from this blog, but just uploaded the Blogger app to my phone! I'm hoping this means consistent posting. And I apologize now because it looks like I published a post out of order, but I'm sure you'll figure out out. :)

Breakfast of Champions

A couple of weeks ago, I picked up a box of doughnuts for my students and here's what they looked like. Gourmet stuff. Cereal toppings, and even a bacon maple bar. If you want a dozen, stop by Fritters and Jitters in Bothell.

Fashion Trend of a 5 Year Old

So the last time I went to see my nephew, he was dressed in this outfit. He dressed himself. It was 'wear what makes you happy' day at school,  and he did. Grandma, or Mataba, got the shirt and shorts for him, but since it was cold out, he wore his pjs  underneath. I love the outfit! At his age, its pure whimsy; at my age, it takes courage.
