Il Sogno
This was one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to. The food was divine...the right blend of flavors. The antipasti was great (especially the pureed pea mint dip, and the roasted eggplant with lemon caviar), the pastas were perfect (pumpkin ravioli and pesto pasta) and the entrees were excellent - especially Martin's truffle french fries. Yeah...big night. Here's a shot of Bev and I.
San Antonio River Walk
Bev was so nice and spent lunch with me on the conference days. On the second day of the conference we decided to do the river walk. The pathways were well cared for, and surprisingly, not crowded at all. We meandered on the river walk and through the neighborhood. The weather was perfect and I wasn't sleepy when I went back to class. :)
Big houses...lots of them...
One of the highlights of the walk around the neighborhood was the houses...many of them state landmarks. The homes were large and many had servants' quarters. Here are a couple of the houses we passed.
