Day Trip to Anacortes and Whidbey
The day before Sonya left for California, we decided to do a short road trip. We headed north and stop at several shopping places (ugh...there goes my money), but had a great drive to Anacortes, and then down to Whidbey Island. We drove the length of the island and took the ferry back to Mukilteo and then the short drive home. While I spent more money then I had hoped...I have a lot of pretty baubles to show for it.
Grocery Shopping
One of the reasons for the day trip was to stop at this grocery store where they had specialty salts. We're in the salt and seasoning section deciding what to get. I also got a Magic Bullet blender for $30. Woot.
The Brown Lantern Alehouse (I think)
We had lunch at this pub...the food was great. We made sure to have the oyster shooters...I could have eaten a dozen of those things a lone...but $27 for oyster shooters would have just been a little too much...even for me.
Sonya & Susan at Deception Pass
One of the fun things about this day trip was our drive to Deception Pass. It was absolutely beautiful. Here are Sonya and Susan on the trail heading down to the beach. (They didn't go all the way down to the bottom.)
