Yumi's Farewell Party

On Saturday night, I went to a party to say goodbye to a former student. Yumi (pictured on the right) came to the US 6 years ago. Since then, she graduated with a BA and worked for a US company in Bellevue. Yumi's work visa will run out and she has to return to Japan, so Sheron and John M. hosted a farewell party. Yumi and Chikano pose before eating. Julee H. and Sheron M. prepared a dinner of all of Yumi's favorite foods: meatloaf, baked potato, spinach salad, chocolates, and fresh blackberry pie. Everything was so good.

It's already February???

How did this happen? I was happily cruising along in January when all of a sudden, February comes and slaps me upside the head. Not only that...but next week is the middle of February. Ay yah! Things here have been progressing as usual...I'm behind in work, I owe money to everybody, and my car needs an oil change. We'll see what I actually accomplish in February.
