Tokyo Travels

After leaving Myron and Mayumi's on Tuesday, I met up with the Heugels, Olsons, and Pablo on Tuesday evening. We had a mini NU reunion. On Wednesday we headed to the Imperial Palace grounds for a walk around the gardens. Inside the palace grounds we took a walk and saw some of the cherry blossom trees coming into bloom. Beautiful. This shot is taken just outside of the palace. The next stop was Tsukiji fish market where we dined on fresh sushi. We ended the day at Harajuku, shopping at the Oriental Bazaar. Traveling with the Heugels and Olsons has been so enjoyable. I think one of the reasons why is that they all enjoy Japan, and Cherie especially has found her people. Cherie has loved being here and fits right in. Look at her catching a few zzzs on the train.

A Disney Day

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I learned that a hearty breakfast will help see one through a tough day. That's what I learned at Tokyo Disneyland. Yes, you heard right. The Heugels, Olsons and I headed to Tokyo Disneyland yesterday. At 6:30 am. During spring break. It really was more of a cultural learning experience than a fun day at the park. The herds of people, the lines, and Japanese fashion were all in full force. I loved it! The pictures below are of the gang at breakfast.
